Sheep vs Gravity Screensaver -- Version 1.08 ============================================ It is not widely known, but Sir Isaac Newton actually formulated his theories about gravity and it's effects by watching sheep, not apples. Installation Notes ------------------ This program works under Windows 95/98 and Windows NT (Sorry 3.x and Mac'ers). To install, first unzip the "sheep.zip" archive. Run the "setup.exe" program. Choose the directory where you have Windows installed (e.g. C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT). You can access the Sheep vs Gravity screensaver from from "Control Panel", then choose the "Display" icon. Choose the "Screensaver" tab and then choose "Sheep" under the "Screen Saver" drop down box. Things you can change in the "sheep.ini" file ---------------------------------------------- [Main] NumberOfSheep=10 Maximum number of active sheep on screen at any given time. GibGore=1 0 = No bloody sheep bits, 1 = Show bloody bits. PileUpGibs=1 0 = Sheep bits vanish, 1 = Sheep bits pile up. PileUpLimit=500 Number of sheep to explode before screen clears, (a full screen will hold approx. 1500 sheep). Known Bugs: ----------- I squashed all I've found so far. If you find any more, please email them to me at russ@russhorton.com Version Information ------------------- January 02, 2003 - Finally got some time to create a version with a proper install/de-install (about bloody time ;-) I've also tweaked some of the internal settings and removed the intro screen to reduce the memory usage. December 16, 1998 - Fixed a persistent .ini bug under NT. Now when you change the settings in the "sheep.ini" file, they actually stay changed! October 04, 1998 - Changed website and e-mail addresses to my new ones. February 01, 1998 - Fixed music and sound effect bugs. - Added cool intro screen. - Changed code so changes to .ini should work for NT users - Changed the hard to understand "PileUpLimit" calculation to something easier. (That'll be the last time I add a feature at 3:00 am ;-) September 15, 1997 - Added "PileUpLimit" in sheep.ini, tweaked some graphics. September 03, 1997 - Fixed bug in .ini file so GibGore and PileUpGibs works (I tested it! Really I did!!). - Reduced memory requirements, should work while more programs open. I suggest, in the strongest possible terms, that you do not attempt this with your own sheep, or even with sheep that you've borrowed from a friend. Sheep vs Gravity is not known to cause hair loss in anything other than sheep, despite what all of those pesky gossip tabloid reporters keep saying.
